Mental Health Awareness Week

The theme for Mental Health Awareness Week 2008 is:
Make your mark for Mental Health “What’s your global handprint?”
Guided, in 2005, by extensive consultation with a wide variety of service providers and young people with experience of mental illness, Wellink Trust developed a Youth Governance Group (YGG).
This group ensures that the development of new services are inclusive of full youth participation, in order to effectively meet their needs.
The YGG consists of up to 10 members at any one time, with collective experience that spans the entire spectrum of mental health services available in the Capital Coast and Hutt Valley regions.
The YGG facilitates youth participation in the development and monitoring of any Wellink services for young people, as well as providing consultation on a number of projects both internally and externally in the mental health field.
