About Wellink - Our Staff

Supported Employment Consultant

Trinette Gray

When someone who has been a mental health consumer wants to work, they make an appointmant to see Trinette at the office. We discuss what work they have done in the past and what they would like to do now. Trinette either updates your C.V., create a new one or uses an existing C.V. We look in the paper or search on the internet at what sort of work is available. In subsequent meetings we phone employers, email applications, practise writing letters to assist you in applying for jobs.

We also role play job interviews. There is ususally more than one barrier to employment so we confidentially discuss barriers. Trinette tries to sort out the issue of disclosure and looks at possible dilemmas for work.

Some jobs are organised for a client through the public or private sector. These are generally subsidised through Job Plus (Work and income) or through Mainstream (State Services Commission). Trinette looks after clients and employers in the workplace also. That support varies from one situation to another. Trinette covers work situations in Porirua, Wellington, Lower Hutt and Upper Hutt at present.
