Katie Owen
Katie Owen (RN, BSc, MSc) recently joined Wellink Trust as Service Manager for the new STARs in Island Bay. Since graduating in Nursing (mental health) 15 years ago Katie has worked in both the public and not for profit sectors with people with a range of mental health needs including young people, families and rough sleepers with complex health needs.
Originally from Scotland, she has most recently managed a pilot project developing an innovative approach to early intervention and worked as a clinical advisor at Richmond New Zealand.
Katie is committed to continuous education, she completed a Masters Degree in Community Development and Health in 1998, and has post graduated qualifications in Clinical Supervision and Child Protection. Katie has also had a number of work related publications involving users of services in planning and service delivery.
