Acting Corporate Service Manager
Mike Johnson
Mike is a senior HR practitioner (HRINZ Accredited Member) with 15
years senior HR Manager experience and three years as a consultant
working with a range of small to medium sized enterprises. He was
previously a Chartered Accountant with 13 years experience as an
auditor with Deloitte. His experience is primarily in the health and
science research sectors, and included stints at Healthlink South and
the Canterbury District Health Board.
Mike has an international background (is British and has worked in
both South Africa and Hong Kong) and enjoys seeing things from a “big
picture” perspective. He is motivated by making a difference for
individuals and enjoys strategic planning processes; change projects;
leading and contributing to development initiatives & systems
improvements; and setting up meaningful reporting systems.
Mike is also an Advanced Toastmaster who enjoys delivering speeches
and workshops! He is married with three children.
