Louise has taken leave from the Hutt Valley DHB Mental Health Services, where she  worked as a Maori Consumer Advisor to be the Wellink Peer Advisor. 


Louise was born in the  Wairarapa and began her career in the Consumer movement in 2001 working as a Consumer Advisor.  Since then Louise has worked in many different roles from providing the Consumer perspective into national, regional and local mental health and addiction planning both strategically and service development wise.  She has been actively involved in consumer networks and groups that work locally, nationally and internationally. Louise currently Chairs the Hutt Valley District Health Board Maori Partnership Board.


Louise graduated from the Blueprint Executive Leadership and Management training in the Mental Health and Addiction Sector and the Blueprint Advanced Executive Leadership and Management training which enables her to work with various disciplines within the sector.  Louise has  a Postgraduate Certificate in management Studies from the Waikato Management School.


Louise lives in Lower Hutt with my partner, son  and Lucy her  much loved dog and best friend.
