people who use mental health services.
Help And Hope At The End Of The Telephone Line
Warmline is a special service, because it’s run by people who have used mental health services themselves. Having been through a similar situation, they understand how distressing and isolating the experience of mental illness can be.
Just What You Need
We’re here for you to talk about anything you like. You might call Warmline when you want:
- Confidential peer support from someone who has been in a similar situation before you
- A listening ear for anyone affected by mental illness and distress
- Someone to talk to when you are feeling depressed, anxious, lonely, frightened or hearing voices
- Support when you are feeling overwhelmed
by a bad day - Helpful tips for helping yourself
- To discuss a decision, no matter how large or small
- Referrals to other community organisations
What To Do In A Crisis
Warmline is not a crisis line, but if you can’t think of anyone else to call, contact us and we can refer you on to the right service that meets your needs in a crisis.
It Won’t Cost You A Cent
Warmline’s service is free, and open to anyone who feels affected in some way by mental illness.
We’ll Keep Your Confidence
Our helpline service is confidential. Anything you discuss with our Warmline staff will remain confidential - except in very specific circumstances.
Our Volunteers Are Incredibly Well Trained
Warmline is a peer-run service, staffed by people who have all experienced mental illness in a real way. Because of their own experiences, Warmline staff know that
there is hope in even the toughest circumstances.
In addition to their own personal experience of mental illness, our staff go through a very comprehensive training course designed to make them the best listeners possible. They are excellent at helping you work through your own solutions to help you overcome your problems over time.
