Headspace

Just What You Need

Headspace is a place for young people (aged 15-19) to be in times of crisis, change or uncertainty.

Headspace is a standalone 2 bed-roomed townhouse in Mount Cook that is attached to a staff house. Young people using the service will have staff available to support them 24 hours per day. They will be able to attend their usual daytime activities, stay at Headspace for quiet and rest or decide on activities with the staff that would be useful to them during a stressful time.

We Provide a Home-Away-From-Home

Headspace provides good food, comfort, activities and company. Staff are all keen to ensure that young people and their family, whanau, friends feel welcomed and safe while they are at Headspace.

Well Supported

Headspace is supported by: all the clinical teams involved with youth, a youth governance group that meets to ensure that we are getting the best possible service and a youth consumer liaison worker.

Staff receive regular supervision and all young people who use Headspace are seen daily by the service that referred them or their case manager.

“absolutely fantastic service, very impressed by staff and the whole concept”
