The conference will provide a focal point for the sharing of information about routine outcome measurement. It presents an opportunity to increase understanding and knowledge of outcome measurement use in clinical practice and how it can improve the quality of mental health services and achieve better outcomes for consumers.

Navigating the Challenges - Needs Assessment and Service Coordination

In terms of human services across the ages, Needs Assessment and Service Coordination is a very young service methodology. In its current form, the Needs Assessment Service Coordination (NASC) process has been around for a little over a decade, which relatively speaking makes it still in its infancy. Much of the NASC process works well and we wish to continue building and developing the successes while developing solutions to those challenges that frequently present to be negotiated and ultimately navigated. It is the purpose of this conference to assist us in this process of navigation as we continue to grapple with real life events, resource limitations and wide ranges of service issues.
